I took interest in Photography since I was just a kid, but only when I was 16 I had my first solo exhibition. Perhaps my photography skills are inherited from my grandmother - AFIAP awarded portrait and still life photographer Irina Tīre. Regarding my interest in fashion - my grand-grandmother was founder of clothing design studies in Liepaja Art college.
On summer of 2004 I moved to London, where later opened photo studio.
After spending three busy years in England, I decided to return to Latvia in 2007, to start all over again, but engaged with experience and new knowledge in studio photography.
In a short time I became highly demanded wedding and portrait photographer.
In Riga, Latvia followed work for various magazines, TV shows, advertising agencies, work orders came from celebrities, models portfolio, as well as a private portrait photo sessions - mostly by those who demand high quality photography.
In 2008 there are issued a book and a calendar with Mikus pictures from the TV show "Dancing with the star". In 2009 moved to Milano for 2 years.
My clients say that at work I am passionate, concentrated and responsible. Sparkling, enthusiastic, emotional.
Currently live and work in Paris, as freelance photographer.
